AquaVirgo was born from the desire to host people who, like us, love to travel. We thought that the position in which our apartments are located could offer our guests an immersive experience in the pulsating life of Rome, in its centre, a stone’s throw from one of its most beautiful fountains: ‘La Barcaccia’ in Piazza di Spain. Rome and its fountains, in fact, represent for us the most important moments of our lives, places of memories and appointments. We descended through ‘La Chiocciola’, along the route of the most ancient aqueduct built by the Romans and hence the idea of calling our houses ‘la Barcaccia’ and ‘la Chiocciola’, in memory of the only one of the ancient Roman aqueducts that remained uninterrupted in operation to this day. Mostly underground, it starts from the east and enters the city from the north passing through all the places we love most in our city.
